Alaskan Range - Hunt out of Fairbanks...

moose, and wolves. There is a modern base camp located 25 miles downstream
from the village of Kaltag on the Yukon River. Koyukuk
National Wildlife Refuge... There
are approximately 3 million acres of the Koyukuk National Wildlife Refuge
available to hunt on. This area is the home of some of the world's largest
moose. The moose population density is the highest in the state. Boats
and snow machines are used for field transportation. This area was closed
to hunting for 18 years and has been recently opened.
Not Included in Cost for All Three Hunt Options:
Grizzlies are hunted in the Alaskan Range, the KNWR, and the Nulato Hills area. The terrain is rugged, so hunters must be in good physical condition. The weather is unpredictable, and medium to heavy snow may occur. We offer both a Spring and a Fall hunt in the Nulato Hills area. Nine ft. grizzly bears are not uncommon in this region.
Black Bears are hunted in the Nulato Hills.
The
wolf, which can weigh up to 135 lbs. or more, is one of North America's
most difficult animals to hunt. Bagging this elusive animals is truly
a test of skill and luck.
*Note: Tags were reduced from $175 to $25 in 1998. The populations are high.
This hunt in the beautiful Alaska Range combines the thrill of the hunt with some of Alaska's most beautiful scenery. Pack animals and 3 wheelers are used, but the hunter must be in good physical condition.
