Alaskan Range - Hunt out of Fairbanks...

Dall Sheep

The rugged and beautiful Alaska Range is home to a wide variety of big game animals. Hunting in this area can be strenuous. The area ranges from an elevation of 2,500 ft. in the foothills to mountains as high as 13,000 ft. Hunters trying for Dall sheep or grizzly bear must be in good physical condition. Pack horses and mules, as well as, three wheelers and snow machines are used for in-field transportation.

Nulato Hills...

The Nulato Hills area, is an area that abounds with grizzly and black bear, moose, and wolves. There is a modern base camp located 25 miles downstream from the village of Kaltag on the Yukon River.

Koyukuk National Wildlife Refuge...
(KNWR)

There are approximately 3 million acres of the Koyukuk National Wildlife Refuge available to hunt on. This area is the home of some of the world's largest moose. The moose population density is the highest in the state. Boats and snow machines are used for field transportation. This area was closed to hunting for 18 years and has been recently opened.

Round trip airfare from Fairbanks to Kaltag and from Fairbanks to Hulsia. Approximate cost is $250.00 to $260.00 round trip. Includes 40lb. of baggage. Excess weight charges at $.60/lb.

Moose...

Alaska Range. We hunt for moose in the foothills. Currently, the population is high. A mature bull will field dress at approx. 1,000lbs.

This specific area in the Koyukuk NWR has the highest density of moose in the state and is home to some of the world's largest moose.

Grizzly Bear...

Grizzlies are hunted in the Alaskan Range, the KNWR, and the Nulato Hills area. The terrain is rugged, so hunters must be in good physical condition. The weather is unpredictable, and medium to heavy snow may occur. We offer both a Spring and a Fall hunt in the Nulato Hills area. Nine ft. grizzly bears are not uncommon in this region.

Wolf...

The wolf, which can weigh up to 135 lbs. or more, is one of North America's most difficult animals to hunt. Bagging this elusive animals is truly a test of skill and luck.
*Note: Tags were reduced from $175 to $25 in 1998. The populations are high.

Dall Sheep...

This hunt in the beautiful Alaska Range combines the thrill of the hunt with some of Alaska's most beautiful scenery. Pack animals and 3 wheelers are used, but the hunter must be in good physical condition.
