Hunting...
General - Most of the ranch consists of wooded forests in which
all the species live. Normally, they will only come out to the grain
fields to feed (some during daylight and some at night).
| |
 |
Red
Stag is typically hunted inside the woods during the rut season.
Hunting is conducted during early mornings or late afternoon until
after dark. |
| |
 |
Wild
Boar and Buffalo are spotted only at night, by walking in the
cornfields or at the waterholes. |
| |
 |
European
Mouflon, Feral Goat and Four-horned Ram can be stalked in daylight. |
| |
 |
Cougar
is a different hunt. By chance, you may see one at a waterhole while
waiting for a boar, but the normal technique is by tracking using
specially trained small dogs that will follow the cougar's track
during daylight. |
Clothing...
Winter
(June-August): Warm shirt and light jacket for daytime. Heavy, dark
camo clothing, gloves and waterproof, insulated boots for night hunts.
Summer
(December- February): Regular jacket and light boots for night;
camo T-shirt and camo light pants plus a cotton hat with 4-inch brim
for daylight hours.
